Back in the Saddle

Well I have a nasty case of jet lag and about a ton and a half of work in the backlog, but I wanted to let y’all know we’ll be resuming our normal office hours (6AM – 4PM Pacific) on April 9th after 3 weeks of closed offices and a limited support schedule.

If you’ve left a voice mail on the Acme main line over the past couple of weeks and began to doubt whether our phone was actually plugged in, rest assured we’ll be returning calls starting Monday. Sorry for the delays…

We’ll be starting the next release cycle on Monday too, so there will be some new additions to the Acme lineup as well as a few oft-requested improvements coming soon to a pack near you.

Have a great Easter weekend (if you’re so inclined to observe it), and trade ’em well this week…

Double Feature Monday – Two New Screencasts

Amigos,

I’ve been trying to whittle down my to-do list for the Rancho web site, and making pretty good progress so far this week. Yeah, I know it’s only Monday. ;-}

Anyway, couple new screen casts that I have been meaning to create forever. These start at the start, so to speak. One shows the the end-to-end process of downloading, saving and loading chart templates. The other one is all about installing and updating Acme packs.

Enjoy…

On the Road Again + Next Round of Updates

Buenas noches, amigos…

Just a quick note to let you know that I am going to be travelling some over the next few  days. I won’t be out of touch by any means, but I will be a bit slower than usual to respond to questions and tech support inquiries.

Also, processing of new memberships may be a wee bit slower than normal so I thank you in advance for your patience. Like, depending on the time of day (for me US Pacific time), it may take a few hours instead of just minutes.

Lastly, I have a nice collection of new features and a couple of small fixes ready to release early next week for the Acme Volume Profile,  Volume CompositeVolume Impression, Volume Breakdown, Magic Tape and Fibonacci Wave.

Maybe a couple others as well if I can get them ready in time. Trade ’em well…

Celebration Time

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a member but haven’t done so yet, now may be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. As I posted yesterday, NinjaTrader and Rancho Dinero have partnered up, pardner. ;-}

Anyway, I thought something special to mark the milestone may be in order, so for one week only I’ve knocked 15% off the membership dues.

You can read all about membership here.

We’re developing a great community here, and I am in gratitude for all of your support. Trade ’em well…

It’s Official: NinjaTrader Partnership

As I have said lately, many things have been afoot on The Ranch. I let the membership know a couple weeks ago that a partnership with NinjaTrader was in the works.

Well we can check that one off the list. You can now find Rancho Dinero on Ninja’s official 3rd Party Partner listing.

I want to give a huge shout-out again to everyone for helping turn the sod, raise the barn, dig the well and fence the back forty in such a phenomenally short period of time. I tip my 10-gallon hat to you. Without your early faith, trust and support, none of this would have happened.

I’ve said it before, and I will say it again. The best is yet to come.

Trade ’em well…

The Countdown is On

[dropcap1]S[/dropcap1]o just a quick note to let y’all know that the site upgrade is progressing nicely and that it’s likely that it should be up before the end of the trading week. I’ve called in a favor or two from some of my amigos, and we’re plowing though the remodel pretty quickly. This is good news.

The not-so-good news is that it means we’ll have to take the site completely offline for maybe as long as 24 hours. Hopefully it won’t take that long, but you never know. And it’s looking like the things will start probably this coming Thursday morning (9/29) , Pacific time.

Basically, I wanted to give you a heads up. RD and Acme have users and members across every corner of the globe now (crazy, no?), so I wanted to give everyone as much notice as I can. If you need to download anything or have questions that need answering you might want to think about getting that done before Wednesday evening, Pacific time.

I’ll be pretty much out of touch during the remodel process, and pretty slow to answer questions. I expect to come up for air Friday. I’ll tweet when everything is up.

Hope this week is starting off on a positive note for everyone. Trade ’em well.

Things are Afoot

[dropcap1]I[/dropcap1] wanted to let y’all know that things are afoot on the Ranch. I can’t believe its time has come already, but a major site upgrade is underway for Rancho Dinero and a major round of Acme upgrades and new releases are queued up and nearly ready to go.

In light of the threshold that’s about to be crossed, I wanted to let you know that I am offering just [UPDATE: all 10 are gone!] 10 more charter memberships. Once those 10 are gone, or once the new site is ready (still a few days away), the membership options are going to be changing a bit.

Stay tuned for more information. The details are still in flux.

But basically, the charter membership is an all-access pass for Rancho Dinero/Acme now and in the future. It’s a way for me to say thank you for getting behind this project in its earliest stages and helping pour its foundations.

Though the site and membership options are changing, pretty much everything else will stay the same. Same spirit. Same focus. Same objectives. Same loco hombre behind the curtain. Except now (and you’ll only get this if you are a Spinal Tap fan), Rancho Dinero and Acme are going to 11. It’s the natural next step.

Watch this space… and trade ’em well.

Full Disclosure

In light of the new pack editions and membership options I’ve updated the Rancho Dinero/Acme licensing agreement. If you’re into reading that kind of thing, see it here.
